Children's privacy

Tuckin is made for kids, but it is bought and run by you, the parent or guardian. We take children’s privacy seriously and follow the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). This page explains exactly how we handle your child’s information and the control you keep over it.

We do not collect information from children

Children do not sign up, log in, or interact with Tuckin directly. There are no child accounts. We never ask a child for their name, their details, or anything else. The only information we have about your child is what you, the parent, choose to give us when you set up a story.

You provide the information and the consent

When you create a subscription, you give us your child’s first name, age, interests, and a story theme. By entering those details, you confirm that you are the child’s parent or guardian and that you consent, on your child’s behalf, to us using that information to write and deliver their stories.

What we do with your child’s information

We use your child’s details for one purpose: to generate and deliver their personalized bedtime stories. To write each story, the details are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, which uses them only to create that story. We do not use your child’s information for advertising, profiling, or anything beyond the stories you signed up for.

Data minimization

We deliberately keep the amount of children’s data tiny:

• First name only. We never ask for a surname.
• No photos or images of your child.
• No home address or location.
• No contact details for your child; stories go to your email.

What we never do

• We never ask children for personal information.
• We never show children ads.
• We never let children create logins or public profiles.
• We never sell or share children’s data for marketing.

Your parental controls

As the parent, you are always in charge. At any time you can:

• Review the information we hold about your child.
• Edit or updateyour child’s name, age, interests, or theme through your account or by emailing us.
• Deleteyour child’s information from our systems.
• Stop delivery by canceling the subscription at any time.

To make any of these changes, email support@tuckin.coand we will help. You can refuse to let us keep using your child’s information and ask us to delete it, and we will.

Exercising your COPPA rights

If you want to review, change, or delete your child’s information, or withdraw your consent, contact us at support@tuckin.co. We may confirm that you are the parent before we act, so that we are protecting, not exposing, your child’s data. Once we delete the information, we will also stop generating new stories that use it.
